“Mum had the idea and was the first to have the name in Icelandic, Jarm. Then came to us and those who had something to add to it that it would be better to write it with ypsilon, since the pronunciation was the same. After much thought, I found out that yarm means cold or crying animals according to an ancient English dictionary, ”says Erla Svava. “Not necessarily the sheep,” she adds, smiling.
